Deliverable: Project Selection

Submit a short (~1 page) proposal describing the scientific information collection you want to work with for the remainder of this course. "Real work" collections (e.g., for your group project) are encouraged. If you're having trouble coming up with something, see me and I can make some suggestions.

Your proposal should address the following:

• What is the collection?
• Why is the collection important?
• Where (or from whom) will you get the source information?
• How will the artifacts you create (metadata, database, web pages, etc.) be used?
